 We’re the Albany Chapter of the American Singles Golf Association (ASGA), one of the fastest growing sports or singles groups in the country. ASGA membership requires only that you be single (unmarried, divorced, or legally separated), and a golfer. That sound like you?
During our last check of a major search engine, we found 181,000 references to "singles clubs." Most of these organizations are internet-based. Your chances of meeting quality people are about as good as hitting a hole-in-one.
The American Singles Golf Association is a group of chapters throughout the United States and Canada composed of real people you meet face-to-face and, of course, play golf with. Chapters hold general membership meetings once each month and play golf as a group as often as they would like. Many social-only events are also held throughout the year.
Meeting others through golf is probably the best way to begin any relationship, business or personal. It allows you the opportunity to see others in an environment where there's no loud music, smoke-filled rooms. And you get to see them at their best and not-so-best. But most importantly, we're all about having FUN! There's nothing like a group of friends getting together on a Saturday afternoon for a great round of golf followed by dinner at a local restaurant. It's just a great way to spend your time.
GOLF, GOLF, GOLF!
 The Albany Singles Golf Association motto is "Fairways and Fun"!! From May through October, we hold  a monthly golf outing featuring a "friendly" team format, dinner and prizes.
Other weekends and weekdays during the season, ASGA foursomes tune up with informal rounds. Getting up a game is as easy as stopping in our weekly "Friday Gathering" and finding who’s available to play. This year we sponsored a multi-chapter event in Lake Placid. In 2008 we hosted a Labor Day weekend event with golf and a day at the track for members from other chapters, and many of us participate in the National outings in Vermont, North Carolina, Cape Cod and Orlando for New Years. ASGA National offers great rates for golf/party weekends in resorts like Pinehurst, Hilton Head, Palm Springs, Myrtle Beach and Tampa!
